[Vision2020] Comment Period on the UI UVRTF Report is Now Open

The four analyses of the University Vision and Resources Task Force report 
produced by the deans, provost, vice president for research and outreach and 
vice president for finance and administration are available here:

Comments can be sent to president at uidaho.edu. The comment period ends Nov. 15. 
A team of UI faculty, students and staff charged with taking a comprehensive 
look at how best to focus university programs and align the programs with its 
resources delivered its report to White earlier this month. “Consistent with 
the Task Force charter, this report presents ideas and recommendations for 
a ‘long-term design for the university that is based upon a shared vision, a 
commitment to excellence, and that is attendant with necessary budget cuts, 
reallocations and possibilities of revenue generation,’” White said. He 
anticipates any specific decisions for changes in academic programs and funding 
will begin in fiscal 2006, which begins July 1, 2005, “following full review by 
Faculty Council and other official university bodies, consistent with the 
policies and procedures of the State Board of Education and the University of 
Idaho.”
