[Vision2020] Playoff Tickets

It was a tough-fought season for the A's. They led the AL West for 55 of
the past 58 days. During the last ten days, they needed a spark to get them
started back on their winning ways. That didn't happen.

I am hoping that the A's will be able to hold onto the talent they have. Of
the 30 teams in major league baseball, the amount that the Oakland Athletics
pay in accumulative salary ranks 28th.

The Angels will start the Division Playoffs at home against the Boston Red
Sox. As much as I hate to say this, the Angels are better prepared than the
A's for the playoffs. And the Angels are doing this without Sanguillen, a
major bat and glove.

As far as the playoffs (and the World Series for that matter) are concerned:

I want that winner of the Angels/Red Sox series to make it to the World
Series. ANYBODY BUT THE YANKEES.

Being a long-time Dodger fan, the thought of a Dodger/Angels World Series
excites me. Hey, the Athletics played a World Series against the Giants.
Why not have an Angels/Dodgers World Series?

Thoughts?

Sidebar: Next Saturday, the Vandals play at home against the University of
Louisiana at Monroe (just another speed bump on the road to the Sun Belt
Conference Championship). See you at the game.

Until then,

Take care of yourselves and each other.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are
dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all
exist very nicely in the same box.

Visionaries,

Way back on July 15th, some yuckster named "A Longtime
A's Fan(atic)" posted the following jab at Mariner's
fans on v2020...

-- Snip --
What the Mariners need is some young stuff. Much
longer and your Mariners are going to need walkers to
take the field.

I suggest that if the Mariners want to make it to the
ALCS, they better buy their tickets early. The fans
at Oakland are already lining up.

Well...what can I say? Oakland's playoff hopes came
to an end this afternoon.
