[Vision2020] Conspiracy?

How soon people forget an old Republican chant back in the Clinton years:

"No bombs for Monica."

That was back when the Republicans were more concerned about a stain on one
of Monica Lewinsky's dresses than they were about Clinton's war on
terrorism, which they (the Republican party) perceived to be a cover-up by
Clinton.

We could learn a lot from crayons: some are sharp, some are pretty, some are
dull, some have weird names, and all are different colors....but they all
exist very nicely in the same box.

I am not an economist either but I hear them all saying that it wasn't a
true growth, stable time for the economy. I still didn't feel 'safe' because
all those attacks happened in other countries and Clinton did nothing about
them.

Scott asks:

"How did you feel during the largest peacetime economic expansion that
Clinton presided over? How unbearable was it for you with the record
low unemployment, record high stock market, record low inflation, and
budget surplus?

Follow up question: What is it about the quagmire in Iraq, sky high gas
prices, stagnant stock market, outsourcing, record budget deficits,
corporate
scandal, etc. that appeals to you under a Republican regime?"

I never said it was "unbearable", but I was dissatisfied with some
decisions. Bombing the hell out of Kosovo is okay, but trying to set up
a stable government in Iraq isn't? I think we all know the booming
stock market was bogus, or it would still be booming. But I'm no
economist.

I've said it before and I guess I'll have to say it again. There are
other issues in the world. I have a roof over my head, there hasn't
been any recent terrorist activity in the good ol' US of A, and most of
the punitive and draconian Clinton "midnight laws" concerning access to
public lands have been rescinded.

Life ain't all that bad. And I'd still be living it the same way if the
other guy got in.
