Visionaries:

On Thursday, November 4th starting at 8:30 in the morning the Idaho Board of
Tax Appeals will be hearing the appeals to the property tax decisions
regarding Anselm House and New St. Andrews. Greg Dickison will represent Christ
Church appeal of the revocation of property tax exemption on Anselm House and the
northern parcel of New St. Andrews (the part containing Zume's). The taxpayers
of Latah County will be represented by Jim Craig from the Latah County
Prosecutor's Office. Saundra Lund and I have been granted intervener status.

At 1:30 p.m. Saundra and I will be appealing the Latah County Board of
Equalization decision that preserved the tax exempt status of the southern parcel of
New St. Andrews College. Decisions are not reached during the hearings. The
arguments will be considered and a written decisions will be mailed to the
participants sometime early next Spring.
While these issues do not have the global implications of tomorrow's national
election, or, frankly, even the impact of our local elections, Saundra and I
do believe they are important to property tax payers in Latah County.

Rose Huskey

"One cannot level one's moral lance at every evil in the universe. There are
just too many of them. But you can do something, and the difference between
doing something and doing nothing is everything." Daniel Berrigan
