[Vision2020] Reasoning and the vote (was Bush and war and Iraq)

Dan C. wrote, "Funny, that's what I think when people tell me they are
voting for Kerry" in response to Joan's statement, "SOMETIMES PEOPLE MAKE NO
SENSE. THEY ARE NOT RATIONAL. THEY DON'T LOOK AT THE FACTS, THEY DON'T
WEIGH THE OPTIONS, AND THEY DO NOT MAKE REASONED CHOICES. THEY CLOSE THEIR
EYES AND PULL THE TRIGGER."

Personally, I think they close their minds and pull the lever. But, Dan,
what logical reason would there be for voting for Bush? You only vote for
three substantial reasons for the President.

1) Counter balance out the House and Senate so radical legislation is not
passed, they are both Republicans, so this is illogical

2) Keep us out of war

3) Don't mess up the economy

Frankly, the President doesn't directly touch our lives except in these
areas. He can ship our job overseas, he can send our brothers and sisters to
die, and he can stop radical one-party social agendas that are in conflict
with our liberties and freedoms. So far, I see him failing on all counts.

If he was the CEO of a company, and that company lost $700 Billion, and the
customer satisfaction rating went from 62% to maybe 50%, do you think the
brains behind the company would keep him around? Obviously no, so if the US
keeps him, what does that say about the brains of those voting for him?

I hope everyone that votes for Bush, gives all their money to their
children, because they are going to need it having a $10 trillion deficit to
pay off in their lifetime. Ahh, the love of parents toward their children
and future generations is so deep nowadays isn't it?

For a party that hates taxes, Republicans sure do have a knack for racking
up the need for them. I guess that is fine with them, just as long someone
else that has to pay for them. Why doesn't the President just say, "I am
going to raise taxes on your children to pay for stuff you don't need now."

But I will say this, Bush has been a compassionate conservative, just look
at how compassionate he has been to UBL.

Take Care,

Donovan J Arnold
