My thoughts are with you, Janesta.
I lost two very very close friends in Vietnam. I visited the real Vietnam
Memorial shortly after it was constructed. I couldn't believe how similar
the replica was. I was extremely impressed and hope that it will make its
way here again.

I was so deep in thought, I need to correct a statement I made.
These are NOT only the sons and daughters of Americans, but of families
all over the world. Spain, Italy, Poland, Ukraine, England, and many other
countries. Small towns, large cities......
To see all their names reminds me of when the replica of the Vietnam Wall
came to Moscow a few years ago. The first person I met when I moved here at
age 13, was a smiling, friendly, handsome, blond, young man by the name of
Roger Kofoed who worked at David's Department Store in the shoe department.
We became fast friends, as I LOVE shoes. One day he said goodbye to me, the
next I heard, he had died. His name is on the Vietman Wall.
Today I think of these men and women.
A pity, this war.
Janesta
