I am forwarding this info for a good friend of mine, Gregory
"Trinidad" Sun (of the infamous Trinidad-Toabo Bobsleigh team)...

--------------------------------------------------------

March 25th 2004 was a historic day as the Olympic flame was lit in an
extravagant ceremony at the birthplace of the Modern Olympic Games,
Athens-Greece. The Olympic flame will trek through all five
continents before arriving in Athens on August 13th to officially
open the 2004 Olympic Summer Games. Only 3,600 International Olympic
Torchbearers have been selected, and I have been given the greatest
honor to be one of those torchbearers.

My relay leg will be in Los Angeles, site of the 1932 and 1984
Olympic Games, on June 16th. However, due to security constraints and
confidentiality, I do not have any additional information, hence the
late financial request. The organizing committee will inform me six
days prior to my participation as to the pre-relay meeting, location,
time, route, etc. The relay route is set and cannot be changed,
therefore each selected torchbearer must be able to travel to their
designated relay segment and personally incur all related expenses.

Since I have to incur all expenses to participate in this historic
moment, I am asking for your assistance in making this a reality.
There will be a pre-relay meeting on June 15th, time and place not
yet determined; therefore I would like to arrive in Los Angeles on
June 14th to avoid any delays or mishaps that may occur traveling
from Idaho. I would depart Los Angeles on June 17th. One benefit of
being a torchbearer is the opportunity for me to purchase the torch I
ran with. The torch will cost approx. $400 plus applicable taxes,
therefore my total expenses including airfare, meals, transportation,
accommodations, torch, etc. is approximately $1480.

I ask that you please assist me in getting to Los Angeles and being a
part of something that is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity by
donating $10. Thanks for your support in allowing me to be a part of
the 2004 Athens Torch Relay Run.
