>The Palouse Peace Coalition is sponsoring a gathering at Friendship Square
>on Saturday, March 20, to mark the one-year 
>anniversary of the U.S. invasion of Iraq. 
>	Untangling Lies and Prospects for Peace is the theme of the rally,
>which begins at noon. 
>The rally is intended to keep the conversation going about the state of
>political affairs, particularly about the war in Iraq and 
>what can to be done to build peace. Participants will have an opportunity to
>help "untangle" a giant yarn web representing U.S. 
>foreign and domestic policy decisions and express ways of  building a
>positive peace-both at home and abroad.
>Many of you were part of the International Women's Day demonstration at the
>Federal Building in Moscow in March 2003, and at this event we will be using
>some of that pink yarn to create a giant web, representing the tangled mess
>of U.S. domestic and foreign policy.  We will then dismantle it with ideas
>for working together to build a lasting, positive peace--at home and abroad.
