Visionaries:
Yet again Hoover's left-behind-legacy of overpaid, ethically challenged,
bureaucrats have conspired to wipe out another academic program - in the name of
"hard, but financially necessary decisions." Here's a novel idea - why not
initiate some significant salary savings by firing the remaining feckless Hoover
loyalists/enablers and their hanging on toadies instead of dismissing teaching
faculty? Why not dismantle the bloated administrative superstructure instead
of demolishing programs that are academically important to students and the
reputation of the school?
And, arguably, most important of all, when are the staff and faculty going to
stand together in common cause, on the Administration lawn and demand an end
to the gutting of the University of Idaho? It is long past time to reclaim
the institution and its mission from the remnants of Hoover's willing
executioners, and their current coconspirators who I have come to believe are on the
Boise State (or IKON) payroll.
