[Vision2020] Lilfe on Mars?

All civilized peoples know that water is not the elixir of life.  Mars awash
in water is still barren.  Now if the robots found whiskey...!!!

News from NASA today that the crater that Opportunity is exploring was at 
one time "awash" in water, the elixir of life.  Hypothetically speaking, and

hypothetically asking, if further exploration were to prove that life once 
existed on Mars, what would be the reaction from certain belief groups back 
here on planet Earth?  Would it perhaps create something of a stir?  Or not?

  Just wondering, not trying to provoke anything.  Too much.
