Moscow Vision 2020,

Challenge what you think you know about gardening by attending the free
presentation ³Green Thumb/Green Planet² with environmentalist Carole Rubin.

Rubin is the acclaimed author of ³How to Get Your Lawn off Grass² and ³How
to Get your Lawn and Garden off Drugs.²

The presentation will be held from 1:15-3:15pm, Sunday, June 27 in the Great
Room, 1912 Center, 412 East 3rd Street in Moscow.

In her provocatively frank and funny presentation, Rubin will discuss the
history of the lawn and provide easy how-to¹s for pesticide-free, native
yards. She will also read excerpts from her books and show many pictures of
beautifully landscaped lawns in North America.

This presentation is a timely event as Moscow heads into the high water use
season with a City Council in a water conservation mindset.
Admission is free, donations will be gladly accepted. The event is
co-sponsored by the Palouse-Clearwater Environmental Institute, Palouse
Water Conservation Network, Moscow Food Co-op and the Palouse Group of the
Sierra Club.
