[Vision2020] Opportunity for all

Visionaries:

During the infamous "non-history" conference hosted by a local sect this past 
winter I met a remarkable young man.  He was a first generation college 
student - his parents were (and continue to be employed as migrant workers in 
Southern Idaho.  Through very hard work and extraordinary sacrifice they have been 
able to stay in one location long enough for him to attend primary and 
secondary school.  Consequently, he acquired the education that prepared him to 
attend the University of Idaho on scholarship.  He feels that he is attending 
school on behalf of and in the place of many members of his family.  Ingrate?  
Hardly.  He felt honored - get that, Pat, honored, to have the chance to go to 
college.  Needless to say it is my impression that he is a young man with a very 
bright future.  And it is my strong sense that he will not suffer from the 
corrosive bitterness that hangs like miasma over your last email.
