The original Clark/Kerry General/Lt. exchange didn't take place on FOX at all. It happened the night of the Iowa Caucuses on CNN's Larry King.
Bob Dole was on as an analyst. Dole told Clark that after Iowa it looked like he had "just become a LT." Clark responded that HE was the general and it did come across as a little on the obnoxious side. But I dont think Clark said that Kerry wasn't qualified to run the country--just that he(Clark) was better qualified.
In any event, it's a tempest in a teapot, it doesn't look as if Gen. Clark has much of a chance at this point.

Clark is unelectable.PERIOD. There is no way he could ever beat Bush because he has some questionable background and it appears that he talks out of both sides of his mouth. The purpose of this primary is to elect someone who will beat Bush in November and your man Clark isn't the person.
I am a news junkie and have a lot of "alternative" news sites I read online such as The Independent, The Nation, Salon.com, WorldNetDaily and other internet news services. The main stream press "Bushwhacks" the news because they are afraid of him.

If Clark really did say that then I would be mad at him too. Fortunately those were not Clark's words. They were a rephrasing of what Clark said by FOX to sound like an attack. What Clark was saying was that he was a LT. in the Vietnam too. He was shot several time, he lost part of his hand and his leg and had to learn how to walk again. He saved the lives of many other people as well. He was saying that he stayed in the military, and became an experienced executive office. Kerry left and became an experienced legislator. That is what Clark was stressing. I think that is a fair contrast to draw between the two. Do you want an experienced Legislator running the country, or an experienced Executive?
FOX news did this to Kerry too. Kerry was saying that he was fighting in Vietnam when Edwards was in Diapers. That was taken out of context too. Kerry was trying to express his years of experience. It came out wrong and FOX jumped on it as an attack.
If you are going to be that easily influenced you will most likely end up voting for Bush because FOX news will be backing Bush. They always have.
I also wanted to point out that Kerry is one the wealthiest US Senators. He has a net value to even most millionaires to shame. His wife added to his fortune, he is a billionaire.
Kerry is my second choice for President. So I don't dislike him. I just think Kerry/Clark would be well rounded and both beat Bush in the latest points.
