Forum Members,

Ding-ding-ding-ding-ding! Mr. Hansen’s the winner
from the Camp of Idle Curiosities! I had been
patiently standing by, waiting for one of our keen
private eyes to acknowledge that possibility. Sorry,
Mr. Hansen, you seem like a nice fellow, but don’t
expect a pile of tokens to come flying out of your
floppy drive; unfortunately for you, this isn’t the
Coeur d’Alene Casino.

This exercise has been helpful in at least one
respect: Now I know who to avoid hiring in case I need
to dig without invitation into someone else’s personal
life, because the potential that my phone number
wasn’t listed was there from the beginning. A smidgeon
of hypothetical analysis would have borne that out in
advance. Besides, I, like Ms. Huskey, value
competence a lot when it comes to doing business with
local merchants. Never mind that the info being
sought is entirely irrelevant to the discussion at
hand with Mr. Fox. It makes little sense to look for
a murder weapon if you’re trying to prove someone a
thief.

A wise and efficient sleuth, had there been one among
us other than that detestably deceptive, perhaps
dyslexic, intriguing, and obviously fiendish cult
member, Ms. Woolf, could have saved himself a ton of
time scrambling in a sweaty, heaving frenzy to search
worldwide and local databases, scan phone books, and
the like. Had Nancy D. not been so busy tracking down
vandals, perhaps she would have been able to help. (By
the way, I’ve never met Ms. Woolf and don’t have any
current interest in doing so. Anyone who suggests
otherwise can safely be viewed as presumptuous at best
or at worst, a liar.)

By the way, the reasons my name doesn't appear in the
phone book might resemble Mr. Hansen’s (Fair enough?
Or should he be ignored unless he withholds that fee
from Verizon and posts his personal information all
over the Internet?). Heck, maybe I'm a lesbian
fearful of execution or exile by zealous members of
Christ Church. Furthermore, I can assure you that the
reasons my name isn’t in the telephone directory were
not originally related to V2020 at all. However,
after sitting back observing this fiasco, I think they
might as well have been. While humored by the show, I
was far from ROTFLOL.

I still think the forum could be a positive thing, but
it’s not important enough to consume my life with
trying to figure out Joe Schmoe Participant’s
religious affiliation. That’s unimportant because I
don’t intend to use the forum as a tool to attack
people based on who they are. It's their ideas I'm
concerned about.

One more thing: If anyone’s tempted to think my name
isn’t listed in the phone directory because of an
attempt to hide from members of V2020, I encourage
them to stop flattering themselves so much. I’m not
even the person who decided to require Verizon to keep
it that way, and getting a phone line installed at our
house occurred long before I ever new V2020 existed.

I will be following this message with additional brief
replies to some participants in the "Who's Edna?"
thread. But first, I have to get my he/she/it/they
gang all together to collaborate on another email.

Flattered,

Edna Wilmington
