Here's to a new era of Vandal Football.

Folks,
Tom C. said that the Vandals can't compete "under the present
circumstances."
That's a clear fact. Maybe that's why the administration changed
the circumstances by canning Cable.
I'm sure the Vandals will keep trying in Div. 1 unless they're
kicked out. It's all about the money for those early season
"lamb-to-slaughter" games against the Huskies, Ducks, etc.
Maybe Holt can make those games more competitive.

Interesting. I'm still skeptical about Idaho being Division 1 myself,
but I
have to wonder if there's a tad bit of bitterness there. Tom Cable
seemed
to believe, at the beginning of every season, that the Vandals were
going to
win the Sun Belt and be in a bowl game. The team has more talent than
his
record showed. I'm willing to give Nick Holt and his staff a chance to
prove whether or not we belong in Division 1. Although, and I know the
question has been asked before, is Idaho even going to have a choice? Or

will NCAA regulations force us back to 1-AA?
