An excellent idea! This is one form of "proportional representation" which many think should be implemented more.
I posted recently on this subject on V2020 but got zero response.
If the US Senators in Idaho were elected based on one form of proportional representation, the candidates for the two Idaho Senatorial seats would run in one open election, so the two top vote getters among all candidates would assume Idaho's two Senate seats. We might even get a Democrat in the US Senate from Idaho. Unthinkable under the current system with each senate seat in Idaho running in separate elections, winner take all.
