Dear Rose:

Your contempt for Mr. Wilson and anyone who may share his worldview is
hardly new news. Unfortunately, neither is the caustic manner at which you
are so proficient. Despite your cries to the contrary, you have done a fine
job trumpeting forth your own set of standards. If all that posting hasn't
been an attempt at wooing consciences then, well, I guess we're left to
conclude that you just like to hear yourself talk.

The pronouncement of all your anathemas has been enough to give even
ecclesiastical authority a run for its money and worse, you seem to believe
that your personal objections to certain religious beliefs are quite global.
Well, Rose, it just isn’t so. Christians everywhere hold many of the
orthodox views you despise – that’s Christians both in and outside Christ
Church. The flack over Christ Church has given many a platform to sound
forth an uninhibited and justified intolerance to beliefs that are widely
held by much of the Christian & secular community and it has been so for a
good long while.

As for education - I don't control people's idols. If you choose to worship
"accredited" state education then so be it! But other citizens still have
the unalienable right to cherish a private system suited to their own world
and religious views. Statists don't have to like it and they can berate and
belittle it all they want. The fact remains that competition and
alternatives are part of a free system. Or perhaps you'd be supportive of a
campaign to end private education on the Palouse as well. Private education
really isn't "good" for our community you know. Like the chicken little
story, fears run amok. Live and let live, but stay tuned.

As for your last question - well, Rose does it really deserve an answer?
Like I told Tom in reply to his post about my "almost" original thought,
these ego stroking, "soul shattering" jabs are neither original nor
productive. But, hey, you gotta do what you gotta do.

Soli Deo Gloria,

P.S. Stiler
