Grandma Got Ran Over By a Tank

Due to the fact that Bush is now calling up women that served as far back as
the 1960s to go to Iraq, the song has changed for the 2004 Christmas Season,
the new words are now:

Grandma got run over by a tank
While fighting in Iraq on Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as WMDs,
But as for me and Grandma, we did believe.

She'd been watchin' too much Faux News,
And we'd begged her to ignore her orders and not to go.
But she picked up her ammunition,
and stumbled out the door to join the show.

When they found her Christmas mornin',
At the scene of the attack.
There were naked prints of her prisoners,
And tank tracks on her back.

Grandma got run over by a tank
While fighting in Iraq on Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as WMDs,
But as for me and Grandma, we did believe.

Now were all so proud of Dubya,
He's been takin' this so well.
See him in there watchin' it all,
golfing with men with oil to sell.

It's not Christmas without Grandma.
All the family's dressed in black.
And we just can't help but wonder:
Should we keep our soldiers or send them back?

Grandma got run over by a tank
While fighting in Iraq on Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as WMDs,
But as for me and Grandma, we did believe.

Now we cannot afford to put a goose on the table
And the proof in the pudding is a fib,
Just as freedom in Iraq is a fable.
This would not have happened had it not been for a made up jig.

I've warned all my friends and neighbors.
Better watch out for yourselves."
They should never give an election,
To a man who says “watch this drive!” while our soldiers give their lives.

Grandma got run over by a tank
While fighting in Iraq on Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as WMDs,
But as for me and Grandma, we did believe.

Here are the old words:

Grandma got run over by a reindeer
Walking home from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

She'd been drinkin' too much egg nog,
And we'd begged her not to go.
But she'd left her medication,
So she stumbled out the door into the snow.

When they found her Christmas mornin',
At the scene of the attack.
There were hoof prints on her forehead,
And incriminatin' Claus marks on her back.

Grandma go run over by a reindeer,
Walkin' home from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Now were all so proud of Grandpa,
He's been takin' this so well.
See him in there watchin' football,
Drinkin' beer and playin' cards with cousin Belle.

It's not Christmas without Grandma.
All the family's dressed in black.
And we just can't help but wonder:
Should we open up her gifts or send them back?

Grandma got run over by a reindeer,
Walkin' home from our house Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe.

Now the goose is on the table
And the pudding made of pig.
And a blue and silver candle,
That would just have matched the hair in Grandma's wig.

I've warned all my friends and neighbors.
Better watch out for yourselves."
They should never give a license,
To a man who drives a sleigh and plays with elves.

Grandma got run over by a reindeer,
Walkin' home from our house, Christmas eve.
You can say there's no such thing as Santa,
But as for me and Grandpa, we believe
