<P>Shawn,</P>
<P>I know it was a student. I personally know the student as well. Trust me, it was the University that did it. Some students do what the University tells them to do. The students were NOT in violation of the policy. They were violation of not saying goody goody two shoes things about the University Administration. I saw it all the time when I was in the student government. The Student Government gave the Golf course to the University, they get jobs and recommendations from the Administration when they leave office. They also gave the University Administration $3.5 million of student money. </P>
<P>Don't think that students are always working in the best interests of the students. Sometimes they are working for the best interests of their own personal future. </P>
<P>Who do you think the guy that shut the microphones works for? How do you think he got choosen for the position? It was not by election of the students.</P>

<DIV></DIV>&gt;According to the article, it was the committee president (a student) who
<DIV></DIV>&gt;disqualified them because it violated the guidelines they had been
<DIV></DIV>&gt;provided beforehand. This was not the university's doing. I believe
<DIV></DIV>&gt;the headline was misleading (imagine that from a newspaper). It also
<DIV></DIV>&gt;was worded incorrectly as to which end of the mule the representations
<DIV></DIV>&gt;were coming out of.

<DIV></DIV>&gt;See what I mean? I agree that the play was in bad taste. But it should
<DIV></DIV>&gt;not have been excluded because some people don't like it. They were not
<DIV></DIV>&gt;attacking a student. They were expressing their opinion in an artistic
<DIV></DIV>&gt;way to people that were not forced to listen to their message about
<DIV></DIV>&gt;public figures that effect their personal lives.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;What they are saying is that if a public figure does something good
<DIV></DIV>&gt;they speak about it all they want, but if they do something bad they
<DIV></DIV>&gt;should not face attacks. This is controlling free speech. Sure it would
<DIV></DIV>&gt;be bad to have someone make fun of you. But if your are making decisions
<DIV></DIV>&gt;that affect the lives of the public and you are being paid by them you
<DIV></DIV>&gt;should be open to criticisms. They did exactly what the Chinese
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Government does. Shut down the criticism.
<DIV></DIV>&gt;Like I said before, say all you can now because eventually you will not
<DIV></DIV>&gt;be allowed to say it. Not even what you are paying the person's salary.
