No, Mr. Harrell. I am not. Public schools are required to meet
state-established curriculum standards for accreditation. If you can show
me (by evidence and not by the "because I say so" rule) where these same
standards are enforced (for state accreditation purposes), I will gladly and

The state establishes standards that are enforced at all public schools.
Private schools and home schooling are not held against these standards. As
a result, admission into public colleges is guaged on the accreditation and
satisfaction of these same curriculum requirements (spelling bee or no
spelling bee). Meeting these standards, coupled with a multitude of other
requirements forced on public schools, makes educational management at the
secondary level a challenge.
