Dear Mike and Visionaries:

Thanks for the heads up on the P&Z schedule.

Don' forget that the Daily News publishes a brief agenda and that you =
can get a full agenda (all news, all the time) from the Community =
Development Department at City Hall, Laurie Lewis, 883-7035.

Lots of important information can be had by viewing the City's =
award-winning (yep!) website, www.ci.moscow.id.us

Also, this week is a very hot one for the City:

TONIGHT (yes, Tuesday 5/27), the Council will be talking about the =
Hamilton money plans for the gym project at 7 P.M. While I had =
difficulties with the outcome of the Dream Teams I and II, there were =
many open opportunities for people to make their voices heard in this =
process. I agree that we need to have a more inviting, inclusive =
process. This is a good effort on the part of the Mayor and Council.

Thursday night, an appeal will be heard on a denial of a permit for a =
day care center in Alturas Technology Park in the RTO zone at 7:30 PM =
before the Board of Adjustment... On the face of it, this looks like one =
that should have been granted up front... day care centers are certainly =
related to assisting the office workers who work in tech parks. I just =
may cruise by, since it's about the 25th anniversary of my personal =
association with and support of child care centers!

All the best,
Linda Pall

  This week's agenda includes:

  1. Transportation Commission Activity Report Regarding Beltway =
Planning (Mark Cook, Philip Cook)
  2. Area of City Impact Subcommittee Report
  3. Research, Technology, Office Zone Review--(I assume this will be a =
review of the language of the section--what types of uses are permitted =
and prohibited, and a discussion of possible modifications)
  4. Review and ranking of priorities.

The June 11 calendar includes FOUR public hearings on requests for a =
rezone of 1.4 acres northwest of Brent Drive, a variance and =
redevelopment review of a mobile home park located in the area of city =
impact at 1651 Carmichael Drive, a preliminary plat of 23 acres at 225 =
Baker Street (north of A St), and a preliminary planned unit development =
at 1430 S. Main. More information is available on p. 5D of the Daily =
News' Saturday (5/24) edition, and full file information is available =
for review at city hall.

  Mike Curley
