[Vision2020] one big super University of Idaho?

I just read in the Spokesman (from sometime this week since I am way
behind in my stack of newspapers) about a Dirk Kempthorne ordered study to
improve statewide university efficiencies. One of their recommendations
was to have only one 'university system' with one president, etc. One of
the examples was the head of Engineering might be stationed at ISU but
would also served as the head of UI and BSU. They also wanted more
community based university access. I may be fuzzy on the details, but that
seemed the general gyst.

Anyone? This was news to me, I see lots of problems with this especially
since we are a rather large geographical area (don't lecture me about the
age of technology, we can't even get a flight from Moscow to Boise!). I
wonder if there would only be one football coach =) What would our mascot
be? Bengals + Broncos + Vandals = Bioengineered Striped Berserk Blue
Horse? One corporate sponsored stadium: Simplatchoise (Simplot + Potlatch
+ Boise <formerly Boise Cascade>)
