Carl, would you supply the date, exact quote and source of the administration 
person(s) making some of these statements.  

All I remember hearing is "this won't be easy" and "we don't know how long."  

It seems to me its the media which flips back and forth from statements like 
"over by Tuesday" to "bogged down."
