[Vision2020] Liberal Thinking

Ben:

WOW! You put many words into my mouth. Though I have been criticized for
being "wordy" before, these particular words in the order you wrote them I
do not believe I have ever said.

No homogenizing or oppression is my intention.

I will try to be brief: I am not asserting in any way that differences be
ignored in sexual anatomy, the sexes punching power, or between Islam and
Christianity. Here is a simple example to illustrate what I mean. Both
sexes have access to Medicare: but the men don't go to gynecologists, and
women don't go to prostate cancer specialists. Differences are fully
recognized, yet access of both sexes is supported. Apply this to boxing,
and we can support girls boxing by having girls box only against girls to
recognize that boys boxing against girls might be unfair due to differences
in the sexes. However, this ignores the fact that some girls may box better
than almost all boys! So if these girls want to compete against boys, why
not let them? It a simple issue of allowing each sex the full opportunity
to do as much in life as they want.

Why is this homogenizing or oppressing anyone?

Ted
