Perhaps we might just begin with "University Pointe."

Visionaries:

Historically, renaming stuff during crisis times is nothing new.

During "The War To End War", the Creel Commission ("The Committee for
Public Information") coined the names "liberty cabbage" for sauerkraut,
"liberty pups" for daschunds, and encouraged people to refer to German
Shepards as, "Alsatians".

In addition, most U.S. high schools and colleges stopped teaching the
German language. Before the war, a working knowledge of German was
considered a requirement if you were going to study any physical
science or engineering at the university level.

So, how about "Freedom meatloaf" for pate' de fois gras Strasbourg?

Regards,

Don Kaag
