"Why is growth--in 
Moscow/Latah County--essential to our continued economic viability?"

In a community where the only economic focus is relying on the UI, as stated
here recently, then growth is the engine that supports the local economy.
This should be considered an unhealthy situation for the community.  We
should be hoping for a strong and vibrant local economy that necessitates
growth.  Absent a strong, vibrant, healthy economy that focuses on numerous
entities for vitality, growth helps mask the situation.
