Yes. It will be nice having Nick Holt back at Idaho. As assistant coach at
Idaho under John L. Smith for eight years, he was instrumental in developing
one of the toughest defenses in 1AA football. He went on to Louisville
(with John L.) and took that college to four bowl games in five years. USC
now has the #2 defense in the nation.
What we lacked this season was defense. If this season's team had a
stronger "flavor" of defense, Idaho would be packing for New Orleans on
December 16th.

This morning's Spokesman-Review reports that the University of Idaho has
offered the football coaching job to USC linebacker coach Nick Holt, who was
an assistant at Idaho for several years, including four as defensive
coordinator. Holt says he won't make an official decision until after the
USC-Oregon State game on Saturday. For Vandal fans, any thoughts on the
choice?
