Now let's get away from the partisan left vs libertarian linear polarized 
debate: below I rewrite Dale's sentence in this spirit, to create a 
statement I think nearly everyone would agree with:

Only increased enrichment and stability of the intellectual/nurturing 
environment in early years and ongoing into late childhood and adolescence 
coupled with ongoing parental or significant other involvement in vital 
engagement with ideas, discussion and reading of books (or e-books) will 
achieve the results that anyone seeks, whether youth are in public or 
private school.
