Here's more great news about 15 junior high and high school kids from =
the Moscow School District! Through studying, creativity and active =
fundraising, they've been earning their way to the International =
competition for Future Problem Solvers in Connecticut June 4-8. Only =
about 2100 kids qualified out of 250,000 kids who compete world-wide. =
That puts these kids from Moscow in the top 1%!=20

=20

Even more great news: David Haines, a Moscow Junior High Student, =
learned this week that he won 5th place at the International level. He =
placed 1st in the state and in recent judging, he rose to be among the =
top 5 awards of thousands of entries at the international level. =20

=20

Please contribute! The students have already have raised $5,000 of the =
$13,000 they need to cover flights, registration, lodging and meals. =
They are now seeking contributions from area businesses and individuals. =
Checks can be made payable to either Moscow Junior High School FPS (send =
to the school in care of Coach Carolyn Tragesser), to Moscow High School =
FPS (send to the school in care of Coach Charlene Jakich), or to Moscow =
School District FPS if you'd like to give money for all the students to =
share proportionately. Send checks c/o Carolyn Tragesser, MJHS, 1410 =
East D St., Moscow, ID 83843.=20

Our family will rise to the Tom Hansen's (April 18 Vision 2020) =
challenge by giving $200. Thanks as well to Bill Strand for posting =
information earlier (April 18 Vision 2020).

=20

In the Future Problem Solvers Program, the kids work together at lunch =
and after school to learn about, discuss, and solve problems we may all =
face in the future. They're studying worldwide communication for the =
International Competition; this year they also studied DNA =
identification and nanotechnology. Because our daughter participates, =
we've seen how hard they work, and how much fun they have learning =
together.
