Bill London, et al:
=20
What I think is missing in this discussion is the fact that some =
people's
only purpose in joining a list such as ours is to be disruptive. They =
have
no desire to interact with either ideas or with the future of Moscow. =
The
sole purpose is to cause havoc, to make ad hominem attacks, and to make
slanderous accusations (or is it libel since it's in "print"?).=20
=20
Unlike some, I disagree that ignoring such a problem will make the =
problem
stop or go away. Such people get their jollies by being disruptive, =
abusive,
and shifting the entire conversation in their direction (I counted 26 =
emails
just about his behavior in the last 24 hours).=20
=20
As Bill Strand said, it is fascinating that people are willing to =
tolerate
such behavior. Must be another sign of our postmodern times: the =
inability
to discern the difference between dealing with bad behavior and =
disagreeable
ideas.=20
=20
We've addressed the behavior issue once before when he was deleting =
people's
accounts (then lied about it). We'll be addressing it again in 6 weeks =
if
it's not dealt with now.=20
=20
That's my 2 cents worth.=20
=20
Best,
Dale

S-=20
you ask if Stambler was "guilt" of unsubscribing a group of V2020 =
members.=20
Yes.  He was caught red-handed.=20
The wizards at First Step noticed a group of "unsubscribes" coming in. =
They
got suspicious. They figured out that all of those unsubscribe posts =
were
from one computer (at a UI computer lab). They called that lab and =
(since
they knew the lab manager) asked who was at that computer.=20
The answer: Douglas Stambler. He was caught in the act of unsubscribing
someone else from the V2020 list.=20
BL=20
ps. Such an act is no longer possible, since FSR has since changed the
software. Now, a password is required to access any account.=20

If Douglas Stambler was found "guilty" of the "non-subscriber" incident =
-
then he broke all the rules!=20

Does anyone know for sure Douglas was behind such a disastrously deed?=20
