ROTFL!  Well, we did that before. It was called "deregulation". 

I encourage everyone to look at how much air fares were *prior* to
deregulation. Then factor in the inflation rate. Then compare to prices
today. 

No one who pays to fly would go back. 

Oh, wait! That's because we have to pay. If it were a government airline,
then it would be "free" and we could all fly anywhere we wanted for free. 

Silly me.
