You're asking the wrong guy.

I thought that starting a war in Iraq was a stupid idea, not because I 
didn't think they had WMD's, and not because I thought we couldn't kick 
their butts, but because I was concerned with the end-game.  We started 
"building democracy" in Germany, Japan and S. Korea in 1945, and we're 
still there.

The Middle East is a nasty neighborhood.  I am concerned with losing 
many more American kids as long-term occupation troops to snipers and 
car-bombers than we will ever lose taking Baghdad and running Saddam 
Hussein, his loutish kids, and their Baathist thugs to ground.

But now that we are there, I support our military forces to the hilt, 
and we have no choice but to persevere and win it, because all of the 
alternatives are worse.
