[Oilgas-Members] A Message from the Oil, Gas and Energy Resource Law Section Logo Committee

Dear Member of the Oil, Gas and Energy Resource Law Section:

Many of the other sections of the State Bar have their own logos that
reflect, or in some cases have nothing to do with, the subject matter of the
particular Section.  The Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section has never
had a logo and in designing one, the Council of the Section thought the best
way to proceed would be to provide an opportunity for Section Members (as
well as non-members) to participate in the development of a logo for the
group.   The logos will be put together using the logomyway.com website
where you will be able to submit your proposed logo.  The deadline for
submission is June 9th.  The Council will take a vote on the adoption of a
logo at the Summer Council Meeting on June 1st, though logos that have
already been submitted may be previewed at various Section-sponsored CLEs.
The prize for the winning logo will be $500 and also, only for a winning
Section Member,  5 years of free membership in the Section.  We hope that
you will participate in the design of the Section logo.  Having a logo for
the Section will help to identify the Section as a sponsor or co-sponsor of
various programs and raise awareness of the benefits of Section membership.
