Join us in Austin for Carbon and Climate Change 2009. 

Early 2009 will bring a first look at the new carbon regulation regime and energy policies of the Obama administration. At the state level, Rep. Joe Straus is poised to become Speaker of the House with important implications for energy and environmental policy and legislation. 

Conference speakers include Houston mayor Bill White, Dr. Manik Roy of the Pew Institute on Global Climate Change, leading energy and environmental experts, state legislators and regulatory officials, power and energy company executives, attorneys, engineers, and the major players in the emerging EOR/sequestration industry. 

This program offers substantial coverage on carbon markets; the emerging technologies and economics of capture; regulation of emissions; storage and transport; along with a special project development panel addressing the financial and legal issues in combined EOR/sequestration projects. The impact of plug-in autos on the power sector, smart grids, and the measurement and benchmarking of carbon footprints will also be covered. 

The program is presented with the Oil, Gas and Energy Resources Law Section of The State Bar of Texas.
