size=3>Even though today looks a lot like winter with our new blanket of snow,
we are busily preparing for spring activities<SPAN class=309484000-06032009> and
t</SPAN>oday we held our All-School Winter Activities Awards assembly. Over two
hundred students were recognized for their outstanding participation.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We are proud of the teamwork and
individual efforts displayed by all of our students.</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT face="Times New Roman"
size=3> </FONT></o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman"
size=3>Our annual “Pennies for Leukemia” community service project that we just
completed was very successful. <SPAN class=309484000-06032009>
</SPAN>M.J.H.S. raised over $4,000.00 for this very worthy activity.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Mr. Garrett’s class was the top large
class winner, and Mrs. Golightly’s class was the small class winner.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Other class winners included Mr. Sheaff,
Mrs. Flom, Mrs. Lynn, and Mrs. Quesenbery.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>We would also like to thank the downtown branch of the U.S. Bank for
counting all <SPAN class=309484000-06032009>of</SPAN> our change.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This is the highest total that our
school has achieved in recent memory.</FONT></P>

size=3>If your son or daughter is interested in participating in 7<SUP>th</SUP>
and 8<SUP>th</SUP> grade Track, a parent meeting will be held at 6 p.m., on
Wednesday, March 11 at our Multi-Purpose Room.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The meeting will last about a half hour
and will include important information about the program that starts on March
23.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Most 9-12 activities programs
have already begun, and if you are interested in more information, please
contact the MJHS office.</FONT></P>

size=3>The ninth grade dance is set for April 3rd from 8-11 p.m. This dance is
advertised as “dress-up, not formal.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>M.J.H.S. does not endorse tuxedo and formal rentals, limo rentals, or
other activities such as expensive dinners that are inappropriate at this age
level.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>If one of our 9th grade
students intends to invite a guest that is not a ninth grade student at MJHS,
they must get a permission slip from the office, fill it out, and return it to
the office by March 27 for approval to be considered. <SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>More information will be distributed to
9th grade students in the next week.</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT face="Times New Roman"

size=3>Ninth grade students and their parents will begin their tenth grade
registration activities for the 09-10 school year on Wednesday, March 25 at 6:30
p.m. in the Moscow High School Auditorium.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Following that meeting, the high school counselors will visit our Science
classrooms to more completely describe the registration process.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Students will then visit with their
parents to complete their class registration requests.</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT face="Times New Roman"

size=3>Eighth grade students and their parents are invited to their ninth grade
orientation on Monday, March 23rd at 7:00 pm at the MJHS Multi-Purpose

high school credits and class registration opportunities will be discussed.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Following that meeting, registration
activities will take place in Science classes.<SPAN
