size=3>Thank you for everything you do to help our students and staff.<SPAN

statement, but I can’t tell you enough how important your support is at so many
different levels.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>As a parent
myself, I know how much energy, time, and expense it takes to make sure our sons
and daughters have what they need to be successful.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Your responsibility as a parent is
incredibly important and sometimes very difficult, and we respect and honor all
you do.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The staff at MJHS is also
dedicated to making sure that we carry out our end of the responsibility to
ensure student success.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Together we
can provide the best possible experience for the students in our
community.</FONT></P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT size=3><FONT
face="Times New Roman">The Winter All-School Dance will be held tomorrow evening
from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Multi-Purpose Room.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We can always use additional parent
chaperones.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>If you can help, please
send me or Kevin Hill an email letting us know that you are available, or just
show up!<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>We will also have teachers
and administrators available throughout the event to ensure its safety.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN><B
style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal">Please be aware that a high school
basketball game will be taking place at the Fieldhouse during our dance and
parking will be very hard to find in our main lot.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Please visit with your son or daughter
to make arrangements for pickup and drop off in an alternate
location.<o:p></o:p></B></FONT></FONT></P>

time.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The Leukemia Penny drive is
almost complete, but you still have time to send a donation with your son or
daughter.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>As I write this letter,
many classrooms are counting and sorting coins.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This community service project is a
great opportunity for our students to understand the importance of helping
others.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>MJHS has consistently held
the honor of being the top fundraising school in the Northwest for this
important effort.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Thursday, Feb. 12

</SPAN>Picture books, easy readers, chapter books, and games are especially
needed.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Thursday, Feb. 12 is the
last day to donate to this project.</FONT></P>

size=3>I would also like to thank the MJHS Parent Support Team for their part in
making our recent parent night very successful.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Over 150 parents attended this event
which gave very good information about the dangers of underage drinking and drug
usage.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The program was sponsored
and presented by the Idaho Drug Free Youth Council.</FONT></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p><FONT face="Times New Roman"

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><FONT face="Times New Roman"
size=3>You probably already know that there will be no school this Friday,
February 13.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A School
Improvement/Curriculum day is scheduled and our teachers will be meeting with
departments and by grade level to advance curriculum ideas.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Our MJHS teachers will also be involved
in training to begin our process of moving to our new schedule.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Monday, February 16 is President’s Day
and there will also be no school that day.</FONT></P>
