County Sherriff’s office reported that Sam McLam, a former MJHS student and
current MHS Senior, was killed in a car accident on Friday morning.<SPAN

and staff<SPAN class=458104416-09022009>,</SPAN> and his Mother<SPAN
class=458104416-09022009>,</SPAN> Shelley<SPAN class=458104416-09022009>,</SPAN>
served MHS for several years as a Secretary.<SPAN

stressed the importance of being sensitive to the feelings of fellow students
and staff members who may have had a close personal relationship with the
family.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Counselors were available
on Friday<SPAN class=458104416-09022009>,</SPAN> and again today to talk with
students and staff in the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns =
"urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" /><st1:place
w:st="on"><st1:PlaceName w:st="on">Counseling</st1:PlaceName> <st1:PlaceType
w:st="on">Center</st1:PlaceType></st1:place> as needed.<SPAN

support of others, especially in times of personal loss.<SPAN
style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This incident, like others in the past,
was handled in a very supportive and caring fashion.<SPAN

funeral will be held at the Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, at 11:00 am.<SPAN

attend the funeral, we strongly recommend that you, the parent, attend with
them.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>If you and your son or
daughter plan to attend, please contact the school ahead of time to let us know
when you will be picking up your child.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes">
</SPAN>Students will not be released from school to anyone except the

this, the school takes safety considerations very seriously, and we value your
understanding of our responsibilities to all of the students in the MJHS
