<p class=MsoNormal>Here is a last update (I promise) on the January 29<sup>th</sup>
parent night:<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>We’ll start serving dinner at 6:00 p.m. Your
whole family is invited. We’ll have tacos, with <span
style='color:red'>Chips and Salsa Provided by Patty’s Mexican Kitchen and
Catering. </span>We expect to continue serving until 6:45, so don’t
worry if you’re running late.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>There will be child care available at no charge to kids ten
and under from 6:30 until the program ends at about 8:15.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>At or around 6:30, there will be a presentation <span
style='font-size:12.0pt'>on teenage brain development and the influence of
media, advertising, technology and social norms on teen decision making, with
emphases on social pressures, teen stressors, underage drinking and
violence. <o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>At about 7:15, there will be
a panel discussion with featuring several MJHS students. The students
will discuss “What Our Parents and Other Adults Need to Know About Life
as a Teenager” and “What Teenagers Need from the Adults in Our
Lives”. Students and parents in the audience will have a chance to
ask questions (and hopefully can continue the discussion later.)<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>When the panel ends at 8:15,
we’ll have a drawing to award 2 $50 ipod gift certificates to students
and $100 grocery gift certificates to adult participants.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class=MsoBodyText>In other news, don’t forget Saturday’s Pet
Vaccine Clinic! Proceeds benefit the MSHS Wrestling Team and the Spay and
Neuter Clinic. MSHS Wrestling Team annual Pet Vaccination
Clinic Fundraiser. It will take place on January 31, 2009 from 9: a.m. to
3 p.m. in the MJHS Multi-Purpose Room. A number of vaccinations and other
services will be available for a price of $14 for each item. For
