to help input student data for the 2007-08 directory. Excel spreadsheet experience
is a definite plus. There will be a work party on <b>Tuesday, September
25<sup>th</sup> from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.</b> Dinner will be provided.

FOR EDUCATION </span></b>program fundraiser, and will be asking students to
bring in box tops in several weeks so that we can send them in for cash in
mid-October. Now is the time to start collecting! Ask friends and

<p class=MsoNormal>Susan Mahoney has entered 150 more names to the List-serve. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>He will write the principal’s letter re: Back to
School Night on Thursday and pictures Friday. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>There are 13 new staff members.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><u>September Calendar of Activities<o:p></o:p></u></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Next week will be the first full week.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>On September 11, the Parent Portal will be open. On
Thursday evening, parents can get a letter with their password (7<sup>th</sup>
grade parents already have theirs.) Those who don’t attend will
have their passwords mailed to them.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>ISAT Testing will take place September 17 – September
28 with make-ups the next full week of school. There is a new
method. The 9<sup>th</sup> graders will be tested over a 3-day cycle,
alternating the time of day. The same periods won’t be affected
each day. The 8<sup>th</sup> graders will be tested next followed by the
7<sup>th</sup> graders. The calendar will be “quiet” during
ISAT times. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Curtains for the stage: The PST has been helping to
fund a new set of curtains for the stage (The current ones have been there
since 1959.) Dale has been researching this. Others in the PST will
ask around the community as well.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal><b>Assistant Principal’s Report</b> – Kevin Hill<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>All School Assembly and Back to School Night this Thursday

<p class=MsoNormal>Dance: November 9 from 3 – 6:30. There will be
snacks /food for sale (fundraiser for the curtains. The $3 charge will go
towards the 9<sup>th</sup> grade class.<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Canned Food Drive November 12- 16. Help is needed from
9 – lunch to sort out the food. <o:p></o:p></p>
<p class=MsoNormal>Toy Drive December 3 – 7. Need gently used and
new toys.<o:p></o:p></p>

<p class=MsoNormal>The PST has $1500. Susan Mahoney will coordinate the T-shirt

the liaison for the junior high. She and other parent liaisons meet once
a month with the superintendent, Dr. Candice Donicht. <o:p></o:p></p>
