<BODY><P>There will be an organizational meeting Wednesday evening for all those interested in helping to organize a campaign promoting the upcoming MSD maintenance and operations levy. The meeting will be at 7:00PM in the meeting room at the Silo Coffee House (corner of Styner & Troy highway - parking accessed through Travois Way).</P>
<P>The maintenance and operations levy for the MSD is a fixed amount. It pays for things like smaller class sizes, extra curricular activities (academic as well as sports), more elective choices for Jr. High & High School students, 7th & 8th grade team teaching at the Jr. High, GT program, etc. The amount needs to be increased every so often to keep up with inflation and the rising cost of maintaining the wonderful programs we have in our Moscow schools. Our last increase was 5 years ago.</P>
<P>The school board has recommended a $1.97 million increase to the existing levy to maintain the programs we currently have. MSD patrons will vote on the levy on March 27th. It takes enthusiastic support from many people to help ensure that a levy like this passes.</P>
<P>If you are interested in helping organize a support campaign, I urge you to attend the meeting.
