<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">GROUP MEMBERS PRESENT: <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Susan Mahoney, Faye Nagler, Marie Charles, Whistle Lash, Peggy Jenkins, Joni Porter, Becky Ellison, Connie Paris, Elizabeth Young, Sarah Lindgren and Lisa Morris.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">FINANCIAL REPORT: <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Susan Mahoney, currently the Parent Support Team has $1200 in their banking account.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>These funds are intended to be allocated towards a reader board that the group is trying to obtain for the cafeteria and if possible one for the hallway.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">STUDENT DIRECTORY:<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Data Entry for the student directory is set for Thursday, September 14th from <st1:time w:st="on" Minute="30" Hour="17">5:30 - 7:30</st1:time> in the basement computer lab room 01.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Volunteers are needed to assist in the data entry of the student directory.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Parking will be best in the tennis court parking lot and lower entrance doors will be propped open for entry.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">T-SHIRTS: <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The parent group will sell t-shirts again this year.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This year the t-shirt logo design will be a student art contest.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>These forms are in the <SPAN style="mso-tab-count: 1"> </SPAN>office. The due date of the artwork is September 15th.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Designs will possibly be narrowed down to 5 designs and displayed in the cafeteria for student and staff voting. Orders for shirts will be taken in October.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Same as last year they will be available in short sleeve, long sleeve and on sweatshirts.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A second ordering may be conducted in January.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>A cost for the shirts is not available at this time until design is completed.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">VOLUNTEERS: <SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The following people volunteered to organize and execute the following events.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>These events/activities will still be in need of additional assistance/volunteers to help.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt"><o:p> </o:p></P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">STAFF APPRECIATION COMMITTEE (The breakfast group) – Marie Charles & Peggy Jenkins have volunteered to head this event/activity.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The first breakfast for the staff of Moscow Junior High is set for Wednesday, September 20th.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Breakfast will be an every other month activity.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">STAFF APPRECTIATION COMMITTEE - (non-breakfast months) – Connie Paris & Elizabeth Young have volunteered to head these events/activities.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">FUNDRAISING COORDINATER – This will be re-visited at the next meeting – It had been decided not to plan any fundraising events at this time.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Group will re-visit the need for a fundraiser and possible fundraising ideas if the need arises.</P>
<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">FAMILY NIGHTS COORDINATOR – Faye Nagler volunteered to head this position and Marie Charles volunteered to assist for Family nights.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The first night is already planned and will be on Monday, October 30th, Cyber Bullying.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">PRINCIPAL REPORT: – The bi-weekly report is available to parents on the web link through the Jr. High site.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Computer system – updating, caused some minor delays on 1st week at school.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Student cards will have a barcode that they can slide through reader for lunch.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>This will speed up the process of the lunch line.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Thursday, September 7th, <st1:time w:st="on" Minute="0" Hour="10">10 a.m.</st1:time> all school assembly in the Field House.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Thursday, September 7th also will be the back to school night for parents.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Parents are to meet at the Field House at <st1:time w:st="on" Minute="0" Hour="19">7:00 p.m.</st1:time> with a short introduction of the night’s events and parents will be dismissed to follow their child’s class schedule, spending approximately 10 minutes in each classroom.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Friday, September 8th will be Jr. High School photos.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>ISAT testing will begin Monday, September 18th and lasting 3 weeks.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">Thursday, September 7th also will be the back to school night for parents.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Parents are to meet at the Field House at <st1:time w:st="on" Minute="0" Hour="19">7:00 p.m.</st1:time> with a short introduction of the night’s events and parents will be dismissed to follow their child’s class schedule, spending approximately 10 minutes in each classroom.</P>

<P class=MsoNormal style="MARGIN: 0in 0in 0pt">VICE PRINCIPAL REPORT: – 7th grade elections to student council will be October 9th – 13th.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Two representatives from each color group will be elected to represent their class in the student council.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>These representatives will assist during assemblies, talking to classmates about Cyber Bullying, and other various things.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Monday, September 11th will kick off Anti-Bullying.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Monday, October 30th will be the Cyber Bullying assembly for the students, in the evening will be a follow up with the parents to inform them about Cyber Bullying.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>The parents will be given the same information that the students were given.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>Information about Personalized calendars will be available for order by the holidays.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>People interested in creating a personalized calendar to purchase will be given information on this when information is gathered.<SPAN style="mso-spacerun: yes"> </SPAN>People can do these from their homes and they will be delivered to their home addresses.</P>
