“Fogies on Fifth” is a talent show featuring parents of current MHS students and a few honored guests.

“Fogies on Fifth” will take place on May 13th from 7 to 9 pm at the Moscow High School Auditorium. There will also be a silent auction and concessions during the event.

All proceeds from the event will benefit Moscow High School students who participate in academic competitions and activities. This will be the inaugural event for the new Academic Booster Club at Moscow High School. The Club, which will be comprised of parents, teachers and interested community members, will raise funds and provide grants to students and groups to help them pay the costs associated with academic-oriented competitions, events and travel. Among the groups and activities eligible for funds will be Business Professionals of America, Future Problem Solvers, Knowledge Bowl, Model UN and the Environmental Club Turtle Trip. Many of our students, teachers and parents already spend a great deal of time raising funds for their students’ events and travel. The ABC recognizes that our entire school and community benefit from our students’ academic success and hopes to enlist the broader school and Moscow community in supporting our talented kids.

And we want to have fun. Fogies on Fifth will be a great event with great Moscow parent performers and guests. Kelly Quinnett and Chris Thompson will be judge/commentators; Sam Hoogsteen will MC.

Parents performing include: the Budwiggers, Clever D, Code 40 (professional dancers over 40), Christie Stordahl, ROMEOS (Retired Old Men Entertaining Others in Song), Jim LaFortune, Tina Hilding and Paul Anders, Michael Snyder, Christie Stordahl and Lynn Wright.

Featured Students include: Dizzy Henderson our Poetry Out Loud
winner, and the popular high school band "Stiff Kitten".

During breaks we’ll have a knowledge bowl competition, pitting students against teachers. It will be a tough competition, and if your team doesn’t win on skills you’ll have the opportunity to buy points!

Tickets for the event will be $5.00. They are available at Latah Title, Book People and at the door.

Please Come and bring your family and friends! If you’d like to help or donate silent auction items please contact peggy at jenkinsresearch.com.
