Dear MJHS Parents,

The end of the first quarter is rapidly approaching and MJHS teachers
are preparing for our end of quarter "Academic Update" for parents.
We've planned an arena style conferencing activity that will be the
first of its kind for our school. An informational sheet was sent home
for all parents with students yesterday. If you didn't receive it, I've
copied it at the bottom of this letter for you. We hope that you will
be able to attend and visit with teachers during the times listed. If
you are unable to attend or need more than a ten minute update, please
contact the individual teacher to set up an appointment.

End of quarter Report Cards will be mailed on Thursday, November 12.
Along with Report Cards you will receive the first quarter "Cub
Communicator". It will be packed full of information that should be
helpful. As always, please check the school website for up-to-date
information.

Our All-School Fall Dance will take place Wednesday, November 4, from
6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., in the MJHS Multi-Purpose Room. If you
would like to chaperone, please contact Kevin Hill or call the office to
let us know. Dances at MJHS are big events for our students and we make
sure there are plenty of adult chaperones to keep the activity safe and
secure. Please consider this your invitation.

We are very excited about our new school weather station. We've been
working for almost a full year to get this new research instrument up
and running. It includes two weather cams that are pointed in a
northeasterly direction from the junior high school and in a westerly
direction from the high school. Both cameras have excellent views of
our skyline. The weather station itself is placed high atop the junior
high school and provides very accurate information. We would like to
thank Jim LaFortune, MJHS Science teacher, Pat Stewart, MJHS Librarian,
and Gale Gourley and Chanc Hiatt, MSD computer technicians for their
work getting this project online. The website address is:

As always, please contact me at any time if you need to visit, ask
questions, or share your concerns.

Sincerely,

Dale Kleinert, Principal
