Week One of the African Library Project (ALP) was a tremendous success!

On Sunday we sorted through the generous book donations. There were 620 books which we will be able to send to the Primary School in the village of Sehonghong in Lesotho Africa. Earlier last week we reviewed books set aside for the Friends of the Library Book Sale and collected approximately 280 books that fit the ALP criteria.

Because of the generosity of our community and the size of our African primary school, we learned last week that we could send an extra 300 books (making the total books 1,300) without extra shipping costs. We'd like to meet that new goal by sending the very best gently-used books.

Please help us reach that goal by encouraging parents, students, and staff to continue to donate their primary-4th grade level books.
Book drops will remain at all the public schools, NRS (2009 S Main St.- Hwy 95) and the Moscow Public Library (110 S Jefferson - clearly marked "African Library Project") .

The African Library Project continues this week: Monday, February 9 - Thursday, February 12. The last collection of book donations will be Thursday afternoon before 4:00 p.m.
