[Mjhsteam] Moscow High School Fatality

Dear Parents & Guardians,

We received confirmation this morning from the Nez Perce County
Sheriff's Office that Moscow High School student Sam McLam was killed in
a car accident early this morning.   Moscow High School student Mychael
Washington was also involved in the accident.  Mychael was not seriously
injured in the accident.  

We notified our staff this morning to refer any students to our
counselors who might be in need of assistance, and counselors and other
staff have been on hand throughout the day.  We did not make a general
announcement to the student body and we are continuing with our normal
schedule.  

The MHS Commons will be staffed with the Moscow School District Crisis
Assistance Team this evening, and students are welcome to gather there
for assistance.  We do not have any information regarding funeral
arrangements at this time, but we will disseminate that information as
it becomes available.
