Our next Parent Support Team Meeting will be October 7th at 7:15 am in room

Immediate Volunteer Opportunities:

Principal's Report

*	Thank you to those who helped with fixing up the staff lounge 
*	School started very smoothly.  With the deletion of the ISAT, there
will be more teaching time.  
*	All School Assembly on Thursday.
*	Back to School Night on Thursday.

*	School photo on Friday
*	September 30 Camfel Production on doing well academically and
leadership 

Financial Report:  Peggy Jenkins - at this point, there is 0 balance after
the project in the Teachers' lounge

Directory Volunteers:  5-6 people responded.

Library Data base presentation:  September 24 - for parents - how to access
the data base.  

Mock Election:  October 22nd:             Amy Ford, a representative from
the League of Women Voters, shared plans to run a Mock Election for all
students in the multi-purpose room.  After a discussion of possible
configurations, it was determined that there are booth-like constructions
available at MJHS that will work for this purpose; this eliminates the need
to pick up and transport voting booths from offsite.  

Next month's agenda: The Parent Support Team meeting for October will
include a discussion with the Jr. High Counselors regarding the development
of a curriculum for dealing with issues related to bullying.  This project
was begun at the request of some of last year's parents.
