Dear parents,
I hope your holiday season is off to a great start. I wanted you to add one
more date: December 17th. That's the day we need parent volunteers to come
after school to fold and sort MJHS t-shirts and sweatshirts.
We'll also be having a Teacher Appreciation event on the 17th. There is a
message below from Aleisa Barber, the parent coordinator, telling you what
to bring and where to bring it. In addition to the usual snacks, we thought
it might be nice to provide some extra treats so the teachers can take a few
home to share with their families. So remember MJHS in your holiday baking!
Please email me at peggy at jenkinsresearch.com if you'd like to help with the
t-shirts. You can also "reply" to this email -- just don't hit "reply to
all" by mistake.
Happy Holidays!
Peggy Jenkins

Dear MJHS parents,
We are planning a staff appreciation day for our wonderful Junior High staff
members on Wednesday, December 17th. Since there are approximately 80 staff
members, we will need a lot of different items. If you would be willing to
contribute something, please e-mail or call me to let me know what you would
like to bring so I can be sure we will have enough food. We plan to set up
in the morning around 8:00am and will leave the items out for the staff to
enjoy during their planning or lunch times. If there are any treats left at
the end of the day, we will encourage the staff to take them home to share
with their families. We are mostly planning to have a cookie buffet, but I
would also like to offer a selection of healthy treats, as well as, a few
snack treats for those who don't care for dessert items. Some suggested
items are listed below, but feel free to come up with other items. We are in
need of some store bought items as well, so if you don't have time to bake,
perhaps you would be willing to send a store bought item.
Possible donations:
baked goods: cookies, bars, brownies, fudge or other candy (We need lots of
these!)
fruit trays
veggie trays with dip (The staff really liked these last time.)- Store
bought is fine.
12-packs of cans of soda or bottles of water
snack items: chips, salsa, crackers and cheese, granola bars, etc.
Paper goods: 80 forks
You may bring your items to the teacher work room when you drop off your
child in the morning on December 17th or you may bring them later in the day
to help replenish our table. To get to the workroom, go in the front door,
turn left, go around the first corner you come to on the right side of the
hall and enter the work room. Please use disposable plates or be sure to
write your name and phone number on any containers. Feel free to include a
small note or card with your name on it if you want to let the teachers know
you provided the item.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call me at 882-4434 or e-mail
aleisa at turbonet.com. Thank you for your help in thanking our hard working
teachers and staff!
Aleisa Barber
