The meetings from our November 2007 meeting appear below.  Best wishes for

Meeting Minutes

November 6, 2007

Principal's Report:

*	Tonight is the first night of the Knowledge Bowl Competition
*	Veteran's Day Assembly Thursday morning
*	Fall Dance Friday 3:30 - 6:30
*	Canned Food Drive in first period classes next week

*	Vandal Marching Band November 13
*	Band, orchestra, choirs to Grangeville November 14, and November 15
Fall Concert
*	Direct Writing Assessment for 7th and 9th grade November 28 and 29
*	Report cars and information will be sent out today or tomorrow.
Information includes T-shirt order forms and MRSA info. re: a type of staph
infection (has actually been around a long time but has received a lot of
coverage recently in the press)
*	86% of parents have been on the portal.
*	Curtains - with the beginning of the school year, Dale hasn't had
enough time to deal with it fully.  Julie Ketchum has a catalog with a
potential company, and Faye Nagler will contact her.  Carolyn Birmingham
will look into an organization that might give a grant.  

Financial Report:  Peggy Jenkins - $1500 in the account

Box Tops: Faye Nagler - Need boxtops with November 15 deadline to be sent to
the junior high office.  Checked into Safeway rewards program - only between
July 18 - September with 10% going to schools.  Faye will look into other
businesses and programs that benefit schools.

Curtains - Faye Nagler - Still looking.  Has some leads.

T-Shirts - Susan Mahoney - Orders forms are ready and will go out with
report cards.

There was a wonderful response/participation in the Logo contest.

Guest Speaker  -Dr. Candis Donicht, MSD Superintendent.  Handed out
Information Packet re: the Levy.  This school year, there was a $400,000
cut, and next year, it will be 1.5 million dollars if the levy doesn't pass.
The state gives the District 2/3 of the needed revenue, and the other 1.3
comes from the supplemental funds.  

The next PST meeting will take place on December 4 in Room 216.
