Dear Parents -

Here we are almost at the end of our first quarter. The last day of the
fall quarter is Thursday, November 3rd. Seventh and Eighth grade
students will have no school Thursday and Friday, November 3rd and 4th.
Ninth grade students will attend school on November 3rd, but will have
no school on Friday, November 4th.

Seventh and Eighth grade student-led conferences will be held on
Thursday, November 3rd from 3:00 until 8:20 p.m., and Friday, November
4th from 7:00 until 11:00 a.m.. The conferences will give parents an
opportunity to conference with their child to view a portfolio of first
quarter school work in a guided setting with Science, English, Math, and
Social studies teachers available for consultation during the
conference. Please call our office to schedule a conference. Ninth
grade conferences can be scheduled at parent or teacher request as
needed. Please contact specific teachers to schedule. =20

Many parents and teachers communicate via email. If you choose to use
this method of communication, please make sure that the subject line in
the email is one that will identify you with your child. Recently one
of our teachers received an email from a parent he did not know, and the
subject line said, "Let's Meet". Based on the many junk emails we
receive with questionable motives, this email was deleted without being
opened. A good time to request information about progress via email
would be on Mondays or Tuesdays, as grade updates are generally
completed each Tuesday.

The end of the quarter will bring report cards to your mailboxes. We
plan to mail report cards on Wednesday, or Thursday, November 9 or 10.
We will also include the quarterly "Cub Communicator" in that mailing to
provide additional school-wide news. Please feel free to contact any of
us at any time with your questions, comments, or concerns.

Sincerely,

Dale Kleinert, Principal, Moscow Junior High School
