<p class="MsoNormal">Monday's speaker will be Pat Wielinski of Cokinos, Bosien & Young out of Irving, Texas. Pat is a nationally renowned expert in insurance coverage. He will be speaking to us about the recent
<em><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Owners Insurance Company v. Jim Carr Homebuilder, LLC</span></em>. decision, in which the Alabama Supreme Court held that construction defects can be an "occurrence" and, in a more unique analysis, held the
“Your Work” exclusion did not apply. Pat will further put this decision in context with other state supreme courts’ decisions over the last several years. Also attached to are the
<em><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Jim Carr Homebuilder</span></em> case, as well as to other cases,
<em><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">K & L Homes, Inc. v. American Family Mutual Insurance Company</span></em> and
<em><span style="font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"">Nat'l Union Fire Insurance Company v. Turner Construction Company</span></em>, which Pat will discuss.<o:p></o:p></p>
